O’s Notes: Bob Schlesinger is a Colorado based pianist and composer. He invites Mike Stern (g), Eddie Gomez (b), and Billy Drummond (d) to join him for his debut as a leader, Falling From Earth. There are four original compositions each from Stern and Schlesinger, one collaboration and a couple of covers resulting in a varied jazz and electric fusion session. “Easy Off-ramp”, “Bait Tone Blues”, “Left Field”, and the melancholic ballad “Queen Es” are some of the best selections.
