O’s Notes: Geoff plays a variety of contemporary jazz modes from the racy fusion title track to the subtle country feel of “Shiny Shell Lullaby”. But Keezer really shines on the upbeat fusion numbers like “Palm Reader”, the cool “Mirrim.” and the swinging “Gollum’s Song”. The talented cast of musicians includes Claire Martin (v), Scott Cooley (b), Paul Bollenback (g) and Steve Wilson (flute). It’s a balanced set that was inspired by collaboration with Hawaiian slack key guitarist Keola Beamer.
