O’s Notes: Kristin has an excellent voice with rich tone and exacting pitch that resonates in harmonies throughout the set. Sergeant composed and arranged all of the music and lyrics for Falling, except the classic “Autumn Nocturne” and “That Old Black Magic”. She soars on “Infinity Blues” paralleling soprano saxophonist Ted Nash. We also enjoyed “Honey”, “Orpheus” and a taste of cabaret on “Let’s Fall”.
