O’s Notes: Get ready for an adventure when you place Floraculture into you CD player. It is an eclectic mix of songs. Leader Carl Maguire (p) wrote each of these compositions and enlisted Chris Mannigan (sax), Trevor Dunn (b) and Dan Weiss (d) to perform them with him. “Denizen Green” sounds like something out of a horror movie while “Jilly” is rather relaxing. Carl had his creative juices flowing.
