O’s Notes: Steven Lugerner (cl, fl, sax) leads a quartet that includes Myra Melford (p), Matt Wilson (d) and Darren Johnston (t). Wilson’s work on the skins more than makes up for the lack of a bass guitar. They play ten of Lugerner’s compositions a lot of which has been influenced by Judaism. It is a continuation of his first album yet moves into even more creative space. It is also available in limited quantities (500) on vinyl.
