O’s Notes: Charles was a master on the Hammond B3. He played with a lot of funk and a lot of soul. He gets more out of one note on the title track than many guys blitzing through the scales. It’s called feeling and Earland had an abundance of it. These songs were recorded in the early 1970s and they retain the spark that they had. This is a good look at Earland.
