O’s Notes: The Urban Renewal Project is a combination of funky rhythms with smooth vocals by Kenny Neely and poetic rap by Elmer Demond ‘Logic The Topic’ Logan. A prominent brass section and tight bass lines accentuate the action. Logan and R.W. Enock, Jr. (sax, fl) compose most of the material. Forget the genre, these cats are just trying to play good music and they succeed in keeping a foot pattin’ groove all the way through with some pop, some urban and some R&B. All of it is jazzy with a taste for everyone.
