O’s Notes: Bassist Brusger likes playing with passion and fire and he has retained the right cast for this mission! Pianist John Hicks, Ronnie Cuber (bs), George Allgaier (ts) and John Jenkins (d) are the team. They come out smoking on “Don’t Stop Now” and the show is on! They let up a bit on “Peaceful Moments” led by a strong solo intro from Hicks. The sax men take over on “Ponte Grosse” where Brusger also takes a solo. The set is very good making us wonder when they will execute Plan A!
