O’s Notes: The Yes! Trio is drummer Ali Jackson, bassist Omer Avital and pianist Aaron Goldberg coming together as a band of equals on“Groove du Jour. Avital and Goldberg have slamming solos on ‘Tokyo Dream‘ a fine example of the swinging grooves on this set! Other highlights are ‘Bed-Stuy‘, ‘Escalier‘ and ‘Flow‘ with Jackson lighting it up.
