O’s Notes: Melvin ignites a fire on the opener, “MyKia’s Dance” and he is burning all the way through. His guitar leads are liquid and full of passion. Whatever Sparks is feeling, you can hear it. Most of these ten tunes are originals with some cool covers like “She’s A Bad Mama Jama”. They have a groove that is instantly recognizable. There’s a guest vocal appearance from Oscar Wright of the World Famous Upsetters on “Ooh Girl” which balances the set. But the best cuts are Sparks own and there are plenty to enjoy!
