O’s Notes: Christophe Godin (g, vocals), Ivan Rougny (b, vocals) and Jean Pierre Frelezeau (d, vocals) are Morglbl, a rock fusion band. After opening with a couple of upbeat, rock-based tunes they slow down a bit with “Buffet Froid” and “Les Petits Nous”, two of several strong selections. We also liked the interactions on “Haute Voltige En Haute-Volta” with the funky bass and drum solos. This French trio surprised us with their transition from metal to jazz-fusion. They will capture ears on both sides. Be sure to wait to hear the final track!
