O’s Notes: Pablo plays Latin guitar with a vibe that reminds us of Carlos Santana. In fact Carlos was one of the people who helped Menéndez and his Cuban band, Mezcla to gain access to the US for touring back in 1993. Check out his dedication to Bonnie Raitt, “Bonnie’s Blues Mambo” an unusually Latin country fusion. An upbeat Latin version of “Round Midnight” is one of our favorite tracks along with the syncopated beats of “Hijos De La Mezcla” rounding out a good session.
