O’s Notes: Guitarist and composer Aaron Stroessner leads a jazz-fusion quartet with Kevin Lloyd (B3), Mitchell Benson (b) and Andrew Wray (d). There’s a wide range of music here ranging from the funky “There And Back” to the slow, deliberate blues of “Mayday”. There’s also a taste of reggae on “Ocho Rios” featuring Lloyd and Stroessner. Aaron is a professor of music at four different Colleges in and around Lincoln, Nebraska. We suspect he may spend an inordinate amount of time at Amtrak’s Haymarket Station tending to his classes.
