O’s Notes: This is a vibrant blend of bebop with racing beats combined with flamenco. Chano on piano trades lines with guitarists Tomatito, Tito Alcedo and Antonio Toledo on several energetic exchanges. The full body and blending of the lower registers on “Pinar hondo” make a strong statement followed by the refreshing notes of “Turn off the stars”.
