O’s Notes: Composer Steve Tibbetts (g, kalimba, perc) and Marc Anderson (congas, perc) are the core of the bands on both discs. There’s a great sense of adventure on Hellbound Train, a session that feels like a soundtrack for an adventure movie. We enjoyed “Nyemma”, “Full Moon Dogs”, “Climbing”and the title track.Also of note are the heavy, rock-infused tunes like “Black Temple” and softer introspective songs like “Start”. This anthology has 28 songs recorded from 1982 – 2018. Audio quality is exceptional.
