O’s Notes: The music is moving as usual with CJP and we, along with the live crowd, woke up to “Mariella’s Dream”. The calypso bass line and percussive beats keep the fluids flowing nicely. This 2-disc set was recorded at Pittsburgh’s Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild, now established as a place for well-recorded concerts. There is an abundance of great music here like “Picture Frame”, “Stolen Moments” and “Naima”. The band is Diego Urcola (t), Dario Eskenazi (p), Oscar Stahnard (b), Mark Walker (d), Roberto Quintero (congas & percussion) and leader Dave Samuels (vibes and marimba).
