O’s Notes: Keyboardist, composer and bandleader Dave Morecroft leads WorldService Project for Hiding In Plain Sight, their latest release. The band includes bassist Arthur O’Hara, Ben Powling (sax) and drummer Luke Reddin-Williams. Guest Kieran McLeod adds trombone on four selections. There’s a standout performance by Reddin-Williams throughout the set with punctuated, concise and lengthy drum rolls that complement whoever else is playing. We liked “Europhiles” but they save the best for last with a symphonic performance on “Onward”.
