O’s Notes: We’ve heard Brazilian-Israeli pianist David Feldman many times as a part of Duduka Da Fonseca’s bands. This is his third album as a leader. He aligns himself with top Brazilian musicians Toninho Horta (g, vocals), Andre Vasconcellos (b), Marcio Bahia (d) and Raul de Souza (tb).“Horizonte“is contemporary Brazilian jazz that includes transformations of classics along with originals by Feldman and Horta. Highlights include “Navegar”, “Teté” and “Soccer Ball”. The band is seamless and the spotlight is shared throughout the winning session.
