O’s Notes: Pianist Mike Silverman entered the smooth jazz genre in a large way by collaborating with the legendary Jeff Lorber for Human Spirit. He also enlisted support from Eric Marienthal, John Patitucci, Jimmy Haslip, Randy Brecker, Gary Novak, Vinnie Colaiuta, Paul Jackson, Jr., David Benoit and Michael Thompson. With that team, it’s almost guaranteed radio success and indeed that’s what we have! These are all mellow, easy listening, smooth jazz songs. We enjoyed both versions of the title track. Among the best of the rest are “Very Soon ”, “Wake Up” and “Keys To The City”.
