O’s Notes: Swiss pianist Florian Favre is a highly regarded pianist in both hip hop and jazz circles. He performs in many configurations but Idantita is a solo effort. The program has lots of jovial, music that puts you at ease as Favre gives us a musical depiction of his homeland. Occasionally the infusion of some percussion imparts a sense of adventure as on “Nouthra Dona Di Maortsè”. The moods vary including the thunderstorms of “La Montagne”. We enjoyed it.
