O’s Notes: Stanton gets funky on his drums and gets help on the B3 from Robert Walker and guitarist Will Bernard. They got our head bobbin right away on “Poison Pushy”. The program is full of funky rock and roll tunes. Skerik (ts) and Mark Mullins (tb) add brass that leads to a groove that is a blend of New Orleans and James Brown funk on “Dunkin In The Deep”. Stanton adds the marching beat to make the music pop. They take it in several different directions but we preferred the funk.
