They are Diego Rivera (t-sax), Langston Hughes II (a-sax), Altin Sencalar (tb), Willie Morris (t-sax), Art Hirahara (p), Boris Kozlov (b), and Rudy Royston (d). They celebrate Positone’s 30th year as a label and perform works composed by their 1990s roster, notably Edwing, John Nau, Phil Farris, and Joe Gaeta. We liked the suspense of “Trap Door”, “Dream For Donte” featuring Sencalar, “Like Miles”, and “Sea of Sand”.
