O’s Notes: Leader and bassist Scott Colley joins forces with Ravi Coltrane (sax), Adam Rogers (g) and Bill Stewart (d) for nine tracks. Most of the music is peaceful fusion that stretches our imagination. Both Ravi and Adam play subtle, blue, melodic tones while Stewart gently fills the gaps with accents on cymbals and tom-toms. The smooth texture combined with the relaxed pace makes this package work.
