O’s Notes: Danish pianist Carsten Dahl leads a trio featuring bassist Daniel Franck and Jakob Hoyer on drums. There are 13 songs from two different Norway sessions, the first at Musikloftet January 7, 2023, followed by a studio set at Thor Neby Studio March 12, 2024. The earlier session is a bit more relaxed while the second is more expressive. We preferred the latter by a narrow margin.
