Bob Sheppard (tenor sax), Gary Grant (t) and Dan Higgins (fl, sax) are some of the featured horns with Wally Minko (p), Trey Henry (b), Luis Conte (perc) and Kendall Kay (d) anchoring the rhythm section. They perform 11 classics notably Hubbard’s “Little Sunflower”, Miles’ “Freddy Freeloader”, Coltrane’s “Equinox” and Jobim’s “Corcovado”. This is a mighty fine set showcasing a lot of brass harmony.
