O’s Notes: This session is a compilation of ragtime, blues and stride jazz from the eyes of Ireland’s Professor Peter O’Brien. He perspective is good having received many accolades for his work writing and performing. He infuses a bit of classical and Celtic soul into the music always playing with a purpose: to stimulate his audience. He starts with a slow pace before heating up on the 3rd track “Found a New Baby”. Overall it is a worthy dedication to his friend and colleague, Ralph Sutton.
