O’s Notes: Ron is one of the few contemporary jazz trombonists on the scene today coming out of Columbia, SC. He has appeared in many top jazz venues with popular and jazz artists as well as appearing on many albums as a sideman and more recently as a leader. Westray is an accomplished composer also an assistant professor at York University in Toronto. Jimi Jazz is focused on the music of Jimi Hendrix and further expands Westray’s dossier of experiences. It will appeal to Hendrix fans as well as jazz trombone lovers.
