O’s Notes: This CD marks the beginning of keyboard/vocalist Darryl Tookes collaboration with his new band including Rodolfo Zuniga (d), Rolando Grooscors (g) and Brian McDougall (b). Tookes composed all 14 songs, each with a soft, reflective message. Among the best were the upbeat “Hey Now”, the jazzy “One Summer Day” with Grooscors’ cool guitar solo and the Latin beats of “The Compromise”. The entire lot of songs is good. It is easy to enjoy Darryl’s soothing voice.
