O’s Notes: Lorenzo plays bass, guitar and keyboards and leads the band for Koi, a contemporary jazz instrumental that has a futuristic sound. Alessandro Gwiss (p) and Steve Jansen (d, perc) join him to form the core with a few guest artists and horn section appearing throughout the session. There is a generous use of electronics that helps define the character of the music an unusual but intriguing mix. “Narada” and “New House” were among the best.
