O’s Notes: Coke and Pete Escovedo (vocals, timbales, perc) and Lenny White (d) were a part of the 17-member Latin band called Azteca. They formed after the breakup of Santana in the early 1970s. This DVD chronicles the history of the band and includes great interviews of the band members. They played jazz, rock, funk and R&B, all with a Latin twist. So about 30 years later we get the pleasure if a reunion concert at Key Club in Los Angeles. The essential remaining members were there and they rekindled memories of their heyday. The past included both good and bad times, the departure of Coke and the dissolution of the band in 1976. This is an excellent documentary.
