O’s Notes: Brazilian vocalist/pianist Catina DeLuna teams up with featured artist Otmaro Ruiz (P, accordion) and their band Lado B for her latest release. “It is a rich collection of freshly arranged Brazilian standards sung in beautiful Brazilian Portuguese. DeLuna’s interpretations of popular Jobim, Nascimento and Pixinguinha songs give them a rebirth and make this session special. Of note are “Lamentos”, “Fotographia” and “Garota De Ipanema” in a wonderful session.
