O’s Notes: Guitarist, composer Todd Mosby plays fresh, funky, contemporary jazz that is easily embraceable. There are soft, airy, vocalizations from Laura Vail in the background that complement Mosby’s cool riffs throughout the session. We enjoyed a taste of Latin on “Moonrise Samba”, and “A Distant Light“, a tasteful ballad, featuring cello by Adrienne Woods with Mosby leading the melody. There’s a mild country bent on the closer “By The Time I Get To Phoenix”, wrapping up with delightful session.
