O’s Notes: Pianist, composer Sean Fyfe assembles a quartet for Late Night, a vibrant recording including guitarist Sam Kirmayer, bassist Adrian Vedady and Andre White on drums. They open with “Happy”, true to its title featuring Kirmayer. There’s bouncy solo piano on “Lush Life”, the lone cover in the session. They cook on “To Wes” and “Validation” the latter with Fyfe and Kirmayer sprinting in tandem.
