O’s Notes: Tenor saxophonist and composer Alban Darche brings us the beauty of a symphonic, large ensemble playing fresh, original, contemporary jazz. It is simply beautiful, and even grandeur on “Beauty and Sadness II”. We also enjoyed “Arcane XV – Le Diable”, “Arcane XVIII – Le Soleil” and the playful bounce of “Le Chemin” featuring trombonist Samuel Blaser.
