O’s Notes: Alla Boara is vocalist Amanda Powell with composer Anthony Taddao (d, vocals), Clay Colley (accordion, p), Dan Bruce (g), Ian Kinnaman (b) and Tommy Lehman (t). Powell’s vocalizations are well-integrated with the instruments, notably with Cooley on the title track. We noted the fine trumpet and guitar solos on “Almond Sorters” as well. They touch the full gamut of emotions with “Funeral Lament” and “Mi Me Ne Fon” making Le Tre Sorelle a passionate session.
