O’s Notes: Amadie starts the set swinging with “Let’s Groove”. This is a tribute to Mel Tormé and the first cut is well in line with the theme! Amadie’s performance on piano is very good and he gets notable support from guest artist Phil Woods (sax). Together, they are sensational. Drummer Bill Goodwin and bassist Steve Gilmore never miss a beat and provide a solid foundation. The music continues to pop with “Blues For Ladie Sadie” and many others making this one to own, to keep and play repeatedly.
