O’s Notes: The XY Quartet is Nicola Fazzini (a-sax), Alessandro Fedrigo (b), Saverio Tasca (vibes), and Luca Colussi (d). Lexycon paints a view of science fiction, space voyage, socialism and shifting perspectives in the future all illustrated with music. While the songs are open, without boundaries, they have enough structure to be embraced. We liked “Improverso”, “Knom”, and “Oh” best of the eleven selections.
