O’s Notes: This is live footage from the Montreux Jazz Festival in July 1985. It was a truly electrifying performance that exhausted the audience! Bob performed many of his hits including “Touchdown”, “Night Crawler” and “Westchester Lady”. He brought a polished set of musicians with him, most notably a young Kirk Whalum who played with a passionate fervor on sax that helped him launch a solo career shortly afterwards. It is contemporary funky jazz that has a large dose of improvisation in it, not the watered down elevator music based on one or two good riffs. 5.1 Surround DVD
