O’s Notes: These boys are from New Orleans and play music that typifies what you can hear on Bourbon Street. It’s that marching band stomp. The sextet is six very precise experienced musicians: Brian Piper (p), Steve Howard (t), Mike Sizer (cl), Kerby Stewart (b), Brad Herring (tb) and Bobby Breux (d). The famous Dr. John (vocals) also makes a guest appearance adding to the spirit and serving as inspiration. The Kings are genuine from the upbeat romps to the romantic ballads like “When It’s Sleepy Time Down South”. And they also swing hard on “Opus One” but there’s much more. You’re jammin’ in the Bayou with this one!
