O’s Notes: This is jazz vocalist Aimée Allen (pronounced “M”- “A”), not to be confused with the lead singer for the Interupters with the same name. Our jazzy Allen’s band is pianist Toru Dodo, bassist François Moutin and drummer Kush Abadey. Among the best selections are “Star Eyes”, “Little Sunflower”, “Reaction Time” with an excellent bass solo by Moutin, and “Hidden Place”. Aimee Allen continues to impress us on Love & the Catalyst, her latest release. It is packed with energy that will help us embrace life post-pandemic.
