O’s Notes: Brazilian vocalist, pianist, composer, producer and arranger Sue Maskaleris has been lighting up audiences since the late 1990s and continues with the all-original Love is the Key. Sue’s Cabaret style is appealing and works well solo and with harmonized accents from special guests Janis Siegel and Darmon Meader. Wesley Amorim (g), Leo Traversa (b) and Samuel Martinelli (d) are a tight, rhythm section with many guests adding accents including James “Doc” Holiday (s-sax), Chembo Corniel (congas), Sara Caswell (violin) and several others leading to a fine performance.
