O’s Notes: Smooth jazz composer/pianist Mark Etheredge presents a warm set on Love Planet, his latest release with support from producer/mixer Paul Brown. It’s sprinkled with first call musicians. We liked “Saucy” one of a few tunes featuring Brown on guitar, and “Groove City” with Greg Vail (t-sax). Roberto Vally (b), Lenny Castro (perc) and Joel Taylor (d) hold down a tight beat with guitarists Jay Gore and Shane Theriot.
