O’s Notes: South African bassist, composer Carlo Mombelli engages guitarist Wolfgang Muthspiel and drummer, vibraphonist Jorge Rossy for his latest project, Lullaby For Planet Earth. The 10–song set is a relaxed session that allows the musicians to express emotion through their instruments in a cordial dialogue. Carlo adds primary vocals with Muthspiel adding background voice. “Gina’s Song”, “Gentle”, and “It Hurts When I Laugh, It Tickles When I Cry” are some of the best.
