O’s Notes: Rimbombante is Dean Pallen (sax), Evandro Gracelli (g), Arien Villegas (d), Salomon Carillo (perc), Gerg Horvath (b) and Carlos Santana (p). They started out playing boleros and have since evolved into a groove of their own. It is a pleasant sound that combines calypso and bossa nova beats with more contemporary and modern jazz elements. The result is a mellow sound that soothes the soul.
