O’s Notes: Tenor saxophonist, composer Nicole Glover leads a trio with Tyrone Allen II (b), and Kayvon Gordon (d) on Memories, Dreams and Reflections, a set of eleven spontaneous tunes, mostly recrafted covers with a few originals including one by Allen. Lester St. Louis adds more depth with cello on two selections notably “II for Richard Davis + Henry Grimes”. The cordless trio creates an earthy sound appealing to lovers of the lower register. Highlights are “Broken”, “Bird Feathers”, and “No.2”.
