O’s Notes: Tim plays alto and baritone sax. He assembles a lineup of strong individual players: Jim Black (d), Chris Speed (ts, cl), Marc Ducret (g) and Michael Formanek (b). They weave in and out with open and congested passages. We prefer the open sections that have space between the instruments. There are two movements and both are well developed. We prefer the latter, especially with the solos (especially bass) about half way through.
