O’s Notes: Saxophonist, composer and producer Richard Howell performs in multiple configurations for Moon Over Tiburon, his latest release. All band members get well deserved time in the spotlight keeping the music fully engaging. Howell adds earthy lyrics on “We Are All Connected”, stressing universal freedom. The horns speak on “Try Not To Dance” with trombonist Jasmin Perales and Howell leading the melody alone and in tandem with the rhythm section raising the floor! Bassist Gary Brown is melodic on “Sing The Song Of Samba Sock”.
