O’s Notes: Ron Boustead is a new contemporary jazz vocalist worth checking out. He has a strong selection of songs, great arrangements of classics along with four originals. Ron’s voice is warm and inviting. He is surrounded by an excellent team: bassist Brian Bromberg, Greg Karukas (Rhodes), Kirk Whalum (sax), Bill Cunliffe (p), Mitchell Forman (B3) and Munyungo Jackson (perc) to name a few. Mosaic is a cool set of smooth jazz vocals.
