O’s Notes: What started as recording of timbila music turned into an introduction to Mozambican music and a charity project. It all resulted from the tragic floods in Africa earlier this year. Lots of African musicians rallied for the cause in Maputo just after the floods. The result is more than a good cause; it is a good sampling of the music and culture of Mozambique.
