O’s Notes: Conductor Nicolas Urie returns with yet another provocative collection based on poems by Charles Bukowski. His sophomore effort combines music with art over eight compositions. Vocalist Christine Correa speaks and sings the lyrics. The large ensemble includes fine musicians like Alan Ferber (tb) and John Carlson (t) who contribute strong solos along the journey. This is an eclectic program that is intriguing and daring enough to expand your horizons.
